Fidensio Cimbrelo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Semeno Amieva in the 12th minute of the match. In the 16th minute Dimo Badillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fidensio Cimbrelo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnoldo Melon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cerrito FC's Bernabel Merlo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Quintan Menoyo in the 21st minute of play. After 22 played minutes Cerrito FC got a freekick which was hit by Semeno Amieva. Bernabel Merlo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quintan Menoyo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bernabel Merlo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Quintan Menoyo's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. In the 45thth minute of the game Jesco Bierna who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cerrito FC's Bernabel Merlo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Quintan Menoyo was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fabian Cuba in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fidensio Cimbrelo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Arnoldo Melon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jon Parra charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jon Parra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 64 played minutes Cerrito FC got a freekick which was hit by Jon Parra. If Quintan Menoyo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 95 minutes into the match, Dimo Badillo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fidensio Cimbrelo. Aguila's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dimo Badillo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the Aguila players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Cerrito FC.
