Theobald Lope fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bieito Candanedo having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Itapeby FC's Tuste Guajardo got a free kick in the 14th minute. Theobald Lope recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 35th minute, Emenon Buelva had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ciano Santisteban during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 36th minute, Ciano Santisteban hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 39th minute of the game. One of Sarandi AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Itapeby FC:s goal. After the first half Itapeby FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Ciano Santisteban made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Itapeby FC's zone, Carlos Atencio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eliu Casaña came out of the goal and Carlos Atencio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Itapeby FC's Eliu Casaña played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Balasi Afonte in the 57th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberino Ormaechea in the 65th minute of play forced Itapeby FC's goalkeeper Eliu Casaña to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd minute, Carlos Atencio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eliu Casaña took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Simao Zulaica, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maurin Saa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bieito Candanedo having to interfere. 86 minutes into the match, Alberino Ormaechea notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Itapeby FC's Eliu Casaña. Eliu Casaña was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Theobald Lope had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
