After 9 played minutes Itapeby FC got a freekick which was hit by Franko Pedroso. 10 minutes into the match, Atilano Lecea sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Eliu Casaña threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Atilano Lecea this time. If Ciano Santisteban had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ciano Santisteban sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Theobald Lope recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciano Santisteban in the 55th minute of play forced Franquia's goalkeeper Shepherd Agraña to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th minute Efren Iravedra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliu Casaña saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Isidoro Chapa during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
