The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bahiano Sotuela during the 5th minute. Drabble's Nemesio Maysonet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geofredo Ricoy in the 24th minute of play. Turi Biñayo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dunixi Trincado having to interfere. After 35 played minutes Acosta got a freekick which was hit by Serafin Barreira. Guillerme Aranzana took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 37th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dunixi Trincado. Acosta's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Andrea Boveda left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Acosta fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Geofredo Ricoy to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Drabble defense, Gipuzkoa Sancha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nemesio Maysonet. The Drabble fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nemesio Maysonet should have stopped the shot. In the 60th minute, Ipar Domingo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
