The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tambores's Dario Morillas got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Henrico Martines received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Zarbonin Arnao tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Henrico Martines fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zarbonin Arnao having to interfere. Zarbonin Arnao made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Dario Morillas sent off a good shot on target. Iigo Pelegri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Americo Baneros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Americo Baneros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caetano Soto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute, Meder Corisco had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Justo Lodeña charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Justo Lodeña the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Tambores booed when Abrojal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justo Lodeña didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zarbonin Arnao made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Dario Morillas sent off a good shot on target. In the 27th minute, Caetano Soto made a precise shot to the right of Americo Baneros. Tambores's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Tambores's Americo Baneros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caetano Soto in the 32nd minute of play. Dario Morillas succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 37th playminute. If Iigo Pelegri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Xuoco Amescua fell near the penalty area in the 48th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Abrojal's protests and gave Xuoco Amescua a yellow card for diving instead. Xuoco Amescua hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Dario Morillas made the kick off in the second half. After 61 played minutes Abrojal got a freekick which was hit by Justo Lodeña. Dario Morillas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Zarbonin Arnao tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zarbonin Arnao breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Iigo Pelegri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 87 minutes into the match, Tambores's goal looked a bit too open when Caetano Soto came free, but Americo Baneros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Iigo Pelegri came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Abrojal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iigo Pelegri couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Caetano Soto kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Americo Baneros. That made the score 1-2 in the 91 minute of play. Abrojal's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
