The corner ended in Felix Avellana almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Black&Gold's Isidro Achaque did a great save. A collision led to Cordon AFC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Austin Blasco hit a great ball. In the 13th minute of the match Alberto Costilla shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Xalvador Garaizabal showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Umea Corono struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Xalvador Garaizabal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Black&Gold. In the 17th minute of the match, Umea Corono tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Xalvador Garaizabal saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Oñate in the 19th minute of play forced Black&Gold's goalkeeper Isidro Achaque to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 20 played minutes Black&Gold got a freekick which was hit by Tiago Nero. In the 23rd minute, Donio Valdero ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Isidro Achaque was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Cordon AFC's zone, Umea Corono stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Xalvador Garaizabal came out of the goal and Umea Corono tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Nazario Ciaño managed to get in a good position for a shot. Black&Gold's supporters rose to their feet, but Nazario Ciaño was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Xalvador Garaizabal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Xalvador Garaizabal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Umea Corono, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. When Nazario Ciaño came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Black&Gold fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nazario Ciaño couldn't finish the play. An unexpected shot in the 34th minute by Umea Corono got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Xalvador Garaizabal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gustau Arberas's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Umea Corono fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xalvador Garaizabal having to interfere. Black&Gold's Isidro Achaque played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Oñate in the 41st minute of play. Cordon AFC's Lucas Oñate suffered a sore thigh after 42 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The supporters of Cordon AFC booed when Black&Gold was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Costilla didn't get a good kick on the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Black&Gold's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Avellana came free, but Isidro Achaque reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Umea Corono was the one to do the kick off. Umea Corono scored 1-1 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Xalvador Garaizabal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Etxepare Capellan charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Etxepare Capellan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 58th minute, one of Cordon AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cordon AFC. Xalvador Garaizabal had in the 60thth minute some difficulties stopping Alberto Costilla's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Xalvador Garaizabal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nazario Ciaño in the 61st minute of the match. The tension between the Black&Gold and the Cordon AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 87 played minutes Black&Gold got a freekick which was hit by Gustau Arberas.
