When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Saturnino Ampuero took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Gurutz Letran to make any attempt to save it. Naike Barriola struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Zeledon Torcida didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mendoza FC. A collision led to Araujo getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Cordaryal Segurola hit a great ball. Javiar Randoli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Gurutz Letran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ler Oñaederra came free with the goalkeeper in the 28th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gurutz Letran could save by the left post. Gurutz Letran made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ler Oñaederra in the 34th minute. In the 36th minute, Artal Tarulla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gurutz Letran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saturnino Ampuero in the 38th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saturnino Ampuero in the 43rd minute of play forced Mendoza FC's goalkeeper Gurutz Letran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute Saturnino Ampuero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gurutz Letran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Saturnino Ampuero made a kick off. Ler Oñaederra took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gurutz Letran. Gurutz Letran dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. The supporters of Mendoza FC booed when Araujo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cordaryal Segurola didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Sebastian Moniz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ler Oñaederra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gurutz Letran having to interfere. 73 minutes into the match, Mendoza FC's goal looked a bit too open when Saturnino Ampuero came free, but Gurutz Letran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Mendoza FC's Ariel Borjas got a free kick in the 75th minute. Saturnino Ampuero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Saturnino Ampuero put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Gurutz Letran. For all the effort they put into the match, the Mendoza FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Araujo.
