A collision led to Canelones F.C getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Herensuge Martinena hit a great ball. Baraquiel Uriostes short, quick shot in the 8thth minute got Benito Ceraso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Canelones F.C's Benito Ceraso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Alastuey in the 12th minute of play. A hard shot 16 in the game by Baraquiel Urioste from a close distance when the talented Benito Ceraso managed to make a qualified save. Canelones F.C's players were relieved. 20 minutes into the match, Canelones F.C's goalkeeper Benito Ceraso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nazario Viteri. After 21 minutes, Geraldo Talaya mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Canelones F.C and the Jacta F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Canelones F.C getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Geraldo Talaya hit a great ball. With his leg Benito Ceraso managed to avoid a goal in the 24thth minute, when Jacta F.C's Baraquiel Urioste fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of Jacta F.C booed when Canelones F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gervaso Roza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jacta F.C's Nazario Viteri shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 28th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Benito Ceraso but with some difficulty. Canelones F.C's players were relieved. 35 minutes into the game, Geraldo Talaya cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Baltasar Posiga was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Baraquiel Urioste had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diego Alastuey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Alastuey in the 45th minute of play forced Canelones F.C's goalkeeper Benito Ceraso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th minute, one of Canelones F.C:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Canelones F.C. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Baraquiel Urioste sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 59thth minute of the game Baraquiel Urioste who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Canelones F.C's Benito Ceraso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Benito Ceraso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Alastuey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Canelones F.C's Baltasar Posiga threw himself towards the right post 63 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Geraldo Talaya, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Chabier Oliveras charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Chabier Oliveras the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Canelones F.C getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Chabier Oliveras hit a great ball. Benito Ceraso came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Jacta F.C's Diego Alastuey. But to his dismay, Diego Alastuey quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. After a defensive mix-up in Canelones F.C's zone, Diego Alastuey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Ceraso came out of the goal and Diego Alastuey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 76th minute, one of Canelones F.C:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Canelones F.C. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baraquiel Urioste in the 80th minute of play forced Canelones F.C's goalkeeper Benito Ceraso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Gaudencio Coque had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Baltasar Posiga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geraldo Talaya, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd minute, Gervaso Roza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Canelones F.C defense, Diego Alastuey kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Ceraso. The Canelones F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Ceraso should have stopped the shot. In a very dangerous position, a player in Canelones F.C fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 99th minute. Penalty! Diego Alastuey shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Benito Ceraso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baraquiel Urioste, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee ended the match the Jacta F.C players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
