In the 4th minute Gaudencio Coque shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elivareo Folle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gervaso Muñiz got free with Benito Ceraso in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gaudencio Coque fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elivareo Folle having to interfere. Elivareo Folle stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gaudencio Coque's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. Elivareo Folle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geraldo Talaya, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gaudencio Coque received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Elivareo Folle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 13 played minutes Garibaldi got a freekick which was hit by Iratxo Hidalgo. 16 minutes into the match, Garibaldi's goal looked a bit too open when Gaudencio Coque came free, but Elivareo Folle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elivareo Folle stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gaudencio Coque's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. In the 21st match minute, Garibaldi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xilo Moron to maneuver through the defense. After 22 played minutes, Canelones F.C's Rosio Areta shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Elivareo Folle came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Canelones F.C reached it. Elivareo Folle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gervaso Roza, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Geraldo Talaya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elivareo Folle having to interfere. Xilo Moron kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. When Chabier Oliveras fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Canelones F.C's protests and gave Chabier Oliveras a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Garibaldi booed when Canelones F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chabier Oliveras didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 39th minute, Gervaso Muñiz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benito Ceraso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cordara Saco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Gaudencio Coque came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Canelones F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaudencio Coque couldn't finish the play. Garibaldi's Elivareo Folle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geraldo Talaya in the 45th minute of play. If Gaudencio Coque had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cordara Saco to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Canelones F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Cordara Saco came free, but Benito Ceraso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
