Leonardo Echavarri came out of the goal and Ciro Quintero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Haimar Homar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Haimar Homar came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Canitas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Haimar Homar couldn't finish the play. Miguel Poladura charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Miguel Poladura the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Canitas FC booed when Lavalleja FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Poladura didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 57 minutes, Oso Hurones managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Canitas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oso Hurones was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
