An unexpectedly hard shot by Luix Gimenez in the 4th minute of play forced Canelones FC's goalkeeper Edgardo Mendana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rameriz Beamud during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 7th minute of the game. One of Ceferino AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Canelones FC:s goal. In the 9th minute there was a penalty for Canelones FC. Amado Monterinos stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Andre Orgera. 0-1. After a rather tough play, Canelones FC's Amado Monterinos got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 13th minute Luix Gimenez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgardo Mendana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ibon Rabanera fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Canelones FC's protests and gave Ibon Rabanera a yellow card for diving instead. In the 13th match minute, Canelones FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ibon Rabanera to maneuver through the defense. Fe Cavaneros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Edgardo Mendana made a huge save. Belasko Laboy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Edgardo Mendana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sebastian Cigüenza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Andre Orgera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. Luix Gimenez hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Ceferino AFC defense, Sebastian Cigüenza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Andre Orgera. The Ceferino AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Andre Orgera should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Sebastian Cigüenza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andre Orgera having to interfere. A collision led to Ceferino AFC getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Soter Bueras hit a great ball. With a little luck, Ceferino AFC's Andre Orgera got control of the ball when Anaya Ocampo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 74th minute Luix Gimenez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgardo Mendana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anaya Ocampo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sebastian Cigüenza struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Andre Orgera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Canelones FC. Edgardo Mendana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fe Cavaneros in the 82nd minute of play. Edgardo Mendana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luix Gimenez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Leoiar Alzolaras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 98 minutes of play, Ceferino AFC's Fe Cavaneros made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edgardo Mendana was left in no man's land by his defense there! Canelones FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
