In the 21st minute, Carbonero's Martino Avienzo seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Martino Avienzo the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Carbonero protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Martino Avienzo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 20 minutes into the game, one of Carbonero:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 22nd minute, the referee gave Trigo a penalty. Francisco Mieses looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Dalmacio Caldera. 28 minutes into the game, Tibalt Zamarro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Dalmacio Caldera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dalmacio Caldera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tibalt Zamarro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Teo Melic had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 38 minutes into the game, Carbonero's Teo Melic nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ciro Orio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Salvadore Irigoras in the 43rd minute of play forced Carbonero's goalkeeper Dalmacio Caldera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Teo Melic came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Carbonero fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teo Melic couldn't finish the play. Teo Melic struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Ciro Orio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carbonero. Carbonero's Hurko Archuleta got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Xantalen Rionda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Trigo support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
