In the 11th minute, Roman Piedra ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Xarles Arruta was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. With an all-out effort, Defensa's Osorio Trejo threw himself towards the right post 28 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ihazintu Veidazar, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 29thth minute of the game Xayveon Morquecho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lapuente AFC's Osorio Trejo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 32 minutes into the game, Ricart Peñalba recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Osorio Trejo. Ricart Peñalba showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. If Weather Santirso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ricart Peñalba came free with the goalkeeper in the 38th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Osorio Trejo could save by the left post. Artemio Castelao sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Osorio Trejo made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Ricart Peñalba sent off a good shot on target. Defensa's Xarles Arruta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roman Piedra in the 46th minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Xayveon Morquecho made the kick off in the second half. Osorio Trejo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artemio Castelao in the 52nd minute of play. A collision led to Lapuente AFC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Muc Lampez hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Lapuente AFC defense, Ricart Peñalba kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Osorio Trejo. The Lapuente AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Osorio Trejo should have stopped the shot. 64 minutes into the match, Lapuente AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Weather Santirso came free, but Osorio Trejo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Defensa's Ihazintu Veidazar quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Leon Ayo, made in the 67th minute of the game. Osorio Trejo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ihazintu Veidazar in the 68th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute, Ricart Peñalba made a precise shot to the right of Osorio Trejo. Lapuente AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Osorio Trejo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Defensa walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
