After 13 minutes of play, Chimichurri's Vintilă Lucan made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Xarles Arruta was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 17 minutes, Weather Santirso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Defensa and the Chimichurri players grew even worse after the yellow card. Weather Santirso kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Defensa's zone, Emanuel Nueva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Xarles Arruta came out of the goal and Emanuel Nueva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 21 minutes into the match, Ricart Peñalba had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aurken Maria. Chimichurri's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ricart Peñalba was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. The crowd rose to their feet as Defensa's Xayveon Morquecho slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Aurken Maria. That made the score 2-3 after 24 minutes of play. A collision led to Chimichurri getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Evangelista Labarra hit a great ball. After 31 minutes of play, Chimichurri's Roger Quaresma made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Xarles Arruta was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Defensa getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Ihazintu Veidazar hit a great ball. 2-5 became the score in the 36th minute when Vintilă Lucan elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Weather Santirso was shown his second yellow card after 38 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 39th minute, Weather Santirso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Vintilă Lucan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Chimichurri getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Ruisko Romay hit a great ball. When Milio Inestrosa fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Defensa's protests and gave Milio Inestrosa a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Chimichurri booed when Defensa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Milio Inestrosa didn't get a good kick on the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ricart Peñalba made a kick off. Xarles Arruta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Nueva in the 51st minute of play. Xarles Arruta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vintilă Lucan in the 52nd minute of play. Ruisko Romay hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 58th minute of the match, Emanuel Nueva tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Xarles Arruta saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Defensa's Xarles Arruta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vintilă Lucan in the 60th minute of play. In the 60th match minute, Defensa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xayveon Morquecho to maneuver through the defense. Defensa's Xarles Arruta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Defensa from getting a goal against them. Defensa's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Emanuel Nueva 67 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-6. Ricart Peñalba scored 3-6 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aurken Maria, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 80th minute, Chimichurri's Evangelista Labarra ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Xarles Arruta. Xarles Arruta yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-7. In the 84th minute Emanuel Nueva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xarles Arruta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ricart Peñalba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurken Maria having to interfere. Aurken Maria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Artemio Castelao, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. When the final whistle sounded Chimichurri left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Defensa.
