Spectators: 6698 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1698, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Domingos Araña got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the game, Celeste FC's Oinaz Sorzano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Camilo Vicente made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 7th minute, one of Atlantida:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Atlantida. In the 12th minute, Phelipe Quadros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Phelipe Quadros in the 14th minute of play forced Atlantida's goalkeeper Camilo Vicente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Camilo Vicente took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Phelipe Quadros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Domingos Araña sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Atlantida's zone, Oinaz Sorzano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Camilo Vicente came out of the goal and Oinaz Sorzano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Celeste FC's Araoz Gaig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domingos Araña in the 30th minute of play. Araoz Gaig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domingos Araña in the 32nd minute of play. In the 36th minute Phelipe Quadros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camilo Vicente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Celeste FC defense, Zeruko Jofre kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Araoz Gaig. The Celeste FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Araoz Gaig should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Celeste FC booed when Atlantida was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xavier Achutegui didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd minute of the match Lluciano Dosal shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Camilo Vicente showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Zeruko Jofre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Araoz Gaig having to interfere. 48 minutes into the match, Celeste FC's Oinaz Sorzano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Camilo Vicente narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Melquiades Mauriz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Araoz Gaig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Atlantida's Camilo Vicente got control of the ball when Oinaz Sorzano tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Zeruko Jofre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Domingos Araña struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Araoz Gaig didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlantida. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Oinaz Sorzano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Celeste FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Oinaz Sorzano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Camilo Vicente breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Oinaz Sorzano's late challenge caught a Atlantida's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oinaz Sorzano helped the player get up and apologised. Oinaz Sorzano kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Phelipe Quadros got in the 78th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Camilo Vicente handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Araoz Gaig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Melquiades Mauriz in the 82nd minute of play. After having played for 89 minutes, Domingos Araña managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlantida's supporters crossed their fingers, but Domingos Araña was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Atlantida lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
