Spectators: 6722 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1722, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Frisco Portero started the match with the kick off. Xabat Helguera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frisco Portero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frisco Portero struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Xabat Helguera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rivera. In the 13th minute, one of Candil:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Candil. In the 15th minute there was a penalty for Rivera. Nel Iribarria stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Xabat Helguera. 0-1. Xabat Helguera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frisco Portero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 19 played minutes Rivera got a freekick which was hit by Xurde Rogel. After 24 minutes, Lauaxeta Deleyto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Candil and the Rivera players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 24th match minute, Candil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lauaxeta Deleyto to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Quirce Altamirano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Candil's supporters rose to their feet, but Quirce Altamirano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kaiet Oñatibia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ruperto Bango had several of the Rivera's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 35 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Kaiet Oñatibia as he didn't even see the shot coming. Xabat Helguera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frisco Portero, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Frisco Portero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Xabat Helguera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Quirce Altamirano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Xurde Rogel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rivera's supporters rose to their feet, but Xurde Rogel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Xabat Helguera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Frisco Portero in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Xabat Helguera saved Candil from getting behind. If Quirce Altamirano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 69 minutes, Terciero Zalaca mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Candil and the Rivera players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 69th minute, one of Candil:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Candil. Quirce Altamirano might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kaiet Oñatibia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Quirce Altamirano ran back to his position shaking his head. Quirce Altamirano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kaiet Oñatibia having to interfere. Frisco Portero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Xabat Helguera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 90thth minute of the game Frisco Portero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Candil's Xabat Helguera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frisco Portero in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Xabat Helguera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Candil getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Ruperto Bango hit a great ball. Frisco Portero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kaiet Oñatibia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Quirce Altamirano in the 97th minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
