An unexpectedly hard shot by Bastia Rabago in the 13th minute of play forced Gin Gunns's goalkeeper Totakoxe Ardanza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zarbonin Pedraja sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Totakoxe Ardanza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bastia Rabago, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. If Bastia Rabago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ado Pico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Totakoxe Ardanza having to interfere. 32 minutes into the game, Gin Gunns's Erubiel Bertiz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cesar Saena made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Ado Pico struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Totakoxe Ardanza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Selección Uruguay. After 41 played minutes Gin Gunns got a freekick which was hit by Manolito Vera. 48 minutes into the match, Selección Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Erubiel Bertiz came free, but Cesar Saena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Erubiel Bertiz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 60th minute, Bastia Rabago got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cordarius Calvon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Totakoxe Ardanza having to interfere. 78 minutes into the game, Selección Uruguay's Bastia Rabago nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. The referee ignored Gin Gunns's protests and gave Zarbonin Pedraja a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Selección Uruguay booed when Gin Gunns was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zarbonin Pedraja didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Ado Pico's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Totakoxe Ardanza was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. A collision led to Gin Gunns getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Chale Cuaron hit a great ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Selección Uruguay fans cheered their team off the field, for while Gin Gunns had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
