In the 8th match minute, Centro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Montel Palomar to maneuver through the defense. 10 minutes into the match, Miro Fombona dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Nicolao Monje, 1-0. A collision led to Mataojo getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Benedicto Guzman hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lehior Ricote in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ordono Massey prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 23rd minute, Chucho Beteta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ordono Massey stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ederono Trielles's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Miro Fombona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Nicolao Monje tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lehior Ricote sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mataojo's Ordono Massey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ederono Trielles in the 36th minute of play. Nicolao Monje made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Orlin Fraile sent off a good shot on target. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The supporters of Centro booed when Mataojo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peter Elano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Miro Fombona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Nicolao Monje tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Centro's Nicolao Monje played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miro Fombona in the 63rd minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, Ederono Trielles had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ordono Massey. Mataojo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ederono Trielles was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Nicolao Monje took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miro Fombona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Centro's goalkeeper Nicolao Monje, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 75 minutes into the match, Centro's goal looked a bit too open when Orlin Fraile came free, but Nicolao Monje reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Miro Fombona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Miro Fombona's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nicolao Monje read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. Orlin Fraile sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Orlin Fraile recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Miro Fombona struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Nicolao Monje didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mataojo. A collision led to Centro getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Che Orozco hit a great ball. If Miro Fombona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Miro Fombona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute.
