In the 45th minute, Marcelo Bachiller reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Baumer Izaguirre. The goal made the score 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Inocencio Amezaga was the one to do the kick off. Wombat FC's Victorino Ocomardia got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Victorino Ocomardia who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 56thth minute tested the skills of Boniel Borrellino when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Baumer Izaguirre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelo Bachiller, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Berruti had won after a very even match.
