After 27 played minutes, Valdense's Tristan Botejara shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Remir Zucunza came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Valdense reached it. In the 29thth minute of the game Tulio Garraz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Valdense's Victor Lorza was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jago Adarzo's late challenge caught a Minuano FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jago Adarzo helped the player get up and apologised. Valdense's Victor Lorza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tulio Garraz in the 35th minute of play. If Eder Guareña had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Valdense's Victor Lorza got control of the ball when Eder Guareña tried to sneak it across the goal line. Valdense were awarded a corner in the 57th minute after Minuano FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tristan Botejara took the corner. After taking down the ball on Valdense's corner Tristan Botejara fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Remir Zucunza quite easily take care of the ball. Prejun Grajals short, quick shot in the 59thth minute got Remir Zucunza to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tulio Garraz in the 62nd minute of play forced Valdense's goalkeeper Victor Lorza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Valdense's zone, Eder Guareña stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victor Lorza came out of the goal and Eder Guareña tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tulio Garraz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Eder Guareña's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Victor Lorza was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. After some careless play in the Valdense defense, Eder Guareña kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Victor Lorza. The Valdense fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Victor Lorza should have stopped the shot. After 74 played minutes Minuano FC got a freekick which was hit by Tulio Garraz. The supporters of Valdense booed when Minuano FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Josias Noriega didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Tristan Botejara in the 78th minute really tested Remir Zucunza's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. If Prejun Grajal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 83 minutes into the match, Minuano FC's goalkeeper Remir Zucunza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Prejun Grajal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eder Guareña in the 86th minute of play forced Valdense's goalkeeper Victor Lorza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Remir Zucunza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego Senqui in the 87th minute of the match. Valdense's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tristan Botejara in the 90th minute. The corner led to Valdense's Servando Urquizu getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After 91 played minutes Minuano FC got a freekick which was hit by Saturnino Hormaza. Diego Senqui fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remir Zucunza having to interfere. 97 minutes into the match, Minuano FC's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Senqui came free, but Remir Zucunza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 98th match minute, Minuano FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teofilio Urruchi to maneuver through the defense. Valdense's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
