The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With his leg Vladimiro Alamon managed to avoid a goal in the 4thth minute, when Ceferino FC's Demario Nalda fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of Ceferino FC booed when Curtina FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Itzaina Encinas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Emesto Villamandos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ceferino FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Emesto Villamandos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vladimiro Alamon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Paz Constante struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Confesor Maza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Curtina FC. Itzaina Encinas's late challenge caught a Ceferino FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Itzaina Encinas helped the player get up and apologised. In the 14th match minute, Curtina FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Itzaina Encinas to maneuver through the defense. Artal Ybarra hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Lidon Guinao didn't quite understand what happened when in the 21 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Paz Constante struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Confesor Maza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Curtina FC. In the 24th match minute, Ceferino FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maju Ganado to maneuver through the defense. Paz Constante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Confesor Maza having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emesto Villamandos was the one to do the kick off. Confesor Maza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paz Constante in the 52nd minute of play. Paz Constante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Confesor Maza having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emesto Villamandos in the 65th minute of play forced Curtina FC's goalkeeper Vladimiro Alamon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 66 minutes into the game, one of Ceferino FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 69 minutes, Curtina FC's Lidon Guinao got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Confesor Maza. In the 76th minute, Maju Ganado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Olando Portas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Confesor Maza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Olando Portas in the 80th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Olando Portas got free with Confesor Maza in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paz Constante in the 86th minute of play forced Ceferino FC's goalkeeper Confesor Maza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paz Constante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Curtina FC played a much better game than Ceferino FC and deserved their victory. The Ceferino FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
