Rafe Polanco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ignado Naveros having to interfere. Diaz's Rocendo Añoza got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ixaka Hidalgo in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ignado Naveros prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rocendo Añoza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ignado Naveros having to interfere. Diaz made a substitution. Reinaldo Posse replaced Ixaka Hidalgo. In the 82nd minute Ponciano Gonta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cordeal Balaguer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind River Plate's goalkeeper Ignado Naveros, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ignado Naveros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rocendo Añoza, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. 86 minutes into the match, River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Menendo Irizarry came free, but Ignado Naveros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But to his dismay, Hotz Ayon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rafe Polanco got free with Ignado Naveros in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jose Salmeron sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ignado Naveros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jose Salmeron in the 94th minute of the match. Rocendo Añoza struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Ignado Naveros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Diaz. Reinaldo Posses short, quick shot in the 97thth minute got Ignado Naveros to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the match was over Diaz could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than River Plate throughout the match.
