Spectators: 6692 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1692, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mouricio Alves started the match with the kick off. Locaio Lecuona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leandro Anguiano having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Santo Larreta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caraballo's supporters rose to their feet, but Santo Larreta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Perico Mayllar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 12th minute, Ugutz Echenique hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 16th minute, Locaio Lecuona ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leandro Anguiano was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Leandro Anguiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stephen Laiseca in the 20th minute of the match. Stephen Laiseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leandro Anguiano having to interfere. In the 24th minute Locaio Lecuona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leandro Anguiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emmanuel Oropesa got free with Perico Mayllar in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eloi Argomedo hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. 31 minutes into the game, Santikurtz Velandia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Caraballo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tala the free kick. The supporters of Tala booed when Caraballo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santikurtz Velandia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lope Gayoso, 32 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 33 played minutes Caraballo got a freekick which was hit by Santikurtz Velandia. Leandro Anguiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stephen Laiseca, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Leandro Anguiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stephen Laiseca in the 42nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Tala's zone, Santo Larreta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Perico Mayllar came out of the goal and Santo Larreta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Stephen Laiseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Mouricio Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tala's Locaio Lecuona got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Perico Mayllar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santo Larreta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Stephen Laiseca came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Tala fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stephen Laiseca couldn't finish the play. In the 83rd minute of the match Quinten Salablanca sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leandro Anguiano skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mouricio Alves in the 87th minute of play forced Tala's goalkeeper Perico Mayllar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90th minute of the match Ugutz Robredo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Perico Mayllar showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Perico Mayllar came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Caraballo's Mouricio Alves. But to his dismay, Mouricio Alves quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. After a rather tough play, Caraballo's Gilabert Mimbreño got a free kick in the 96th minute. The Caraballo supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Tala's performance. The match ended with a win for Tala.
