An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeruko Arango in the 18th minute of play forced Bayern Munich's goalkeeper Ricart Vilaplana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th minute, Lopez Arevalo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match clock showed 70 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Lopez Arevalo sped through River Plate's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ignado Naveros. 75 minutes into the match, River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Ettore Ucci came free, but Ignado Naveros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nayely Omaña sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ignado Naveros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lopez Arevalo in the 79th minute of the match. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 88th match minute, River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernan Lizaso to maneuver through the defense. Ignado Naveros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lopez Arevalo's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Bayern Munich's Eleazar Sardaneta got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. River Plate's Ignado Naveros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lopez Arevalo in the 93rd minute of play. 94 minutes into the game, Bayern Munich's Jarod Kuhn nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ignado Naveros made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. When the referee ended the match the Bayern Munich players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
