Spectators: 7444 (Terracing: 5584, Seating: 1712, VIP seats: 148) Sayago's Cordarrel Villavedon started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ipar Torio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cordarrel Villavedon in the 5th minute of play. After 9 played minutes Sayago got a freekick which was hit by Bernabe Guinao. 12 minutes into the match, Pudes Carabajo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paquito Venegas. Sayago's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pudes Carabajo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Ipar Torio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cisco Madrazo in the 16th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Filipo Inzaghi in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paquito Venegas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 22 minutes into the game, Cisco Madrazo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Ipar Torio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bernabe Guinao kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. With a little luck, Nacional's Ipar Torio got control of the ball when Cisco Madrazo tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Nacional's Filipo Inzaghi in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sayago's goalie prevented a goal. Filipo Inzaghi took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paquito Venegas. Paquito Venegas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Paquito Venegas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filipo Inzaghi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Nacional fans' excitement grew in the 41st match minute when Nacional's Julian Azaceta looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Filipo Inzaghi in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paquito Venegas saved Sayago from getting behind. In the 45th match minute, Sayago was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Montae Pantigoso to maneuver through the defense. In the 46th match minute, Sayago was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zavier Burdeos to maneuver through the defense. In the 47th minute, Elizardo Sanches sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Sayago's Paquito Venegas didn't even have to move. The Sayago players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Nacional were winning 1-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Filipo Inzaghi to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute of the match, Filipo Inzaghi got a very nice opportunity to score, but Paquito Venegas was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Brion Aladro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Paquito Venegas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Nacional's Elizardo Sanches got a free kick in the 57th minute. Paquito Venegas came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Nacional's Filipo Inzaghi. But to his dismay, Filipo Inzaghi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. After having played for 63 minutes, Filipo Inzaghi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nacional's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filipo Inzaghi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 66th minute, Filipo Inzaghi reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Paquito Venegas. The goal made the score 1-5. If Elizardo Sanches had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Filipo Inzaghi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Paquito Venegas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Montae Pantigoso kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Filipo Inzaghis short, quick shot in the 76thth minute got Paquito Venegas to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Sayago's Paquito Venegas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pudes Carabajo in the 80th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Filipo Inzaghi got free with Paquito Venegas in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Elizardo Sanches had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Filipo Inzaghi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paquito Venegas was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cisco Madrazo in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ipar Torio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nacional's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
