With an all-out effort, Reynold's Idacio Morente threw himself towards the right post 33 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Venceslas Rio, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 35 minutes into the match, Merinos AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Venceslas Rio came free, but Idacio Morente reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Demetrio Lodero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Idacio Morente was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roman Miranes during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
