The referee ignored Pablothinaikos's protests and gave Medardo Avina a yellow card for diving instead. When Maurilio Cantiello came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Martinote AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maurilio Cantiello couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurilio Cantiello in the 12th minute of play forced Pablothinaikos's goalkeeper Ferdinand Lerma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Medardo Avina got his second yellow card in the match during the 13th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Martinote AFC booed when Pablothinaikos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Medardo Avina didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Cidro Aeta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Madeo Valmayor kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Joanes Argos hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Mano Conti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Lizardi Hortiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Pablothinaikos's zone, Cidro Aeta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ferdinand Lerma came out of the goal and Cidro Aeta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maurilio Cantiello struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Ferdinand Lerma didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Martinote AFC. 26 minutes into the match, Maurilio Cantiello notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Pablothinaikos's Ferdinand Lerma. Ferdinand Lerma was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cidro Aeta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferdinand Lerma having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Maurilio Cantiello managed to get in a good position for a shot. Martinote AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Maurilio Cantiello was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ferdinand Lerma breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Martinote AFC's goalkeeper Lizardi Hortiz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Mano Conti came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Pablothinaikos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mano Conti couldn't finish the play. Pablothinaikos's Enzo Calon got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lizardi Hortiz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mano Conti in the 44th minute. Ferdinand Lerma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domenico Olan in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

If Mano Conti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Pablothinaikos's Mano Conti got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Maurilio Cantiello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Maurilio Cantiello managed to get in a good position for a shot. Martinote AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Maurilio Cantiello was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ferdinand Lerma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maurilio Cantiello, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Lizardi Hortiz came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Pablothinaikos's Mano Conti. But to his dismay, Mano Conti quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 87th minute Silverio Valdero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lizardi Hortiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Pablothinaikos's Mano Conti in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Martinote AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Maurilio Cantiello succeeded in the game's 95th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-2. The Martinote AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Martinote AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
