Segundo Roelas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Resto Berzosa in the 15th minute of play. Resto Berzosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Segundo Roelas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th minute Pacifico Quejura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Segundo Roelas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Segundo Roelas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Resto Berzosa's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. If Luis-Antonio Arraña had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Resto Berzosa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Segundo Roelas was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Telesforo Gamarra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vergara's supporters rose to their feet, but Telesforo Gamarra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Resto Berzosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Segundo Roelas having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Resto Berzosa was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Resto Berzosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Segundo Roelas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Resto Berzosa's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 53rdth minute, Segundo Roelas skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Pacifico Quejura kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Segundo Roelas. That made the score 0-2 in the 54 minute of play. Constitution AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vergara the free kick. Segundo Roelas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pacifico Quejura, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. In the 69th minute Resto Berzosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Segundo Roelas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Telesforo Gamarra scored 0-3 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Segundo Roelas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Constitution AFC's Segundo Roelas got control of the ball when Resto Berzosa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Resto Berzosa had several of the Constitution AFC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 74 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-4 score and a disappointed Segundo Roelas as he didn't even see the shot coming. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pacifico Quejura in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Segundo Roelas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Resto Berzosa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Segundo Roelas was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. Vergara were awarded a corner in the 83th minute after Constitution AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ferdinand Laranga took the corner. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Resto Berzosa in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Segundo Roelas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Resto Berzosa who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 86thth minute tested the skills of Segundo Roelas when he managed to save the team from getting behind. During the 91st minute of the match Sein Laurenciano completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Sein Laurenciano a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 92 played minutes Constitution AFC got a freekick which was hit by Sein Laurenciano. Vitor Melic sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vergara's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
