In the 20th minute Ferrer Rengifo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauro Llorente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Francesco Loredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauro Llorente having to interfere. If Ferrer Rengifo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joam Vados made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ekhi Sarro in the 30th minute. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sotil Casquete was the one to do the kick off. Huracán Pocitos's Joam Vados played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ekhi Sarro in the 53rd minute of play. The penalty shot was made by Ted Sandino, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Huracán Pocitos's Joam Vados. 1-2. Rafe Marty hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Mauro Llorente showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferrer Rengifo, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. After 79 minutes, Ekhi Sarro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the aires puros f.c and the Huracán Pocitos players grew even worse after the yellow card.
