Montes Londoño who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Valentim Curueño when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 22 minutes into the game, Salbatore Liquiñano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Belveder's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Liberfad the free kick. In the 22nd minute, Salbatore Liquiñano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Belveder's Dalmau Lijarco got a free kick in the 25th minute. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Inautzi Lobado put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Valentim Curueño. Peru Vascones made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Berart Bobis in the 35th minute of play. The supporters of Liberfad booed when Belveder was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Valentim Curueño. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Montes Londoño made the kick off in the second half. Montes Londoño received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Valentim Curueño tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 60 minutes into the game, Liberfad's Montes Londoño nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot.
