Bilbo Jaurigui scored 1-0 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnaldo Posiga, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 35 minutes into the game, Leheren Amilburu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cerrillos FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Riffo the free kick. Cerrillos FC's Arnaldo Posiga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gervasio Palomeque in the 41st minute of play. Bilbo Jaurigui sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Gervasio Palomeque had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gervasio Palomeque to make the kick off. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Riffo reached it. In the 61st minute, Bilbo Jaurigui ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arnaldo Posiga was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. With a little luck, Riffo's Fabricio Cañucal got control of the ball when Silverio Errazquin tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 72ndth minute of the game Bilbo Jaurigui who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cerrillos FC's Arnaldo Posiga was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cerrillos FC's Arnaldo Posiga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bilbo Jaurigui in the 73rd minute of play. Arnaldo Posiga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gervasio Palomeque, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. After some careless play in the Cerrillos FC defense, Gervasio Palomeque kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arnaldo Posiga. The Cerrillos FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arnaldo Posiga should have stopped the shot.
