Paquito Sotolongo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fernandez FC. Romulo Faso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Paquito Sotolongo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 15 played minutes, Fernandez FC's Dubardo Lombera shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Paquito Sotolongo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Fernandez FC reached it. Edorta Barrillos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Delmiro Bornes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 23 minutes, Feliz Cubian made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Fernandez FC's Delmiro Bornes tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 26th minute Edorta Barrillos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delmiro Bornes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Romulo Faso who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 30thth minute tested the skills of Paquito Sotolongo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Min Lombana hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 32nd minute, Frederico Flecha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With his leg Paquito Sotolongo managed to avoid a goal in the 37thth minute, when Fernandez FC's Romulo Faso fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 41st minute, Romulo Faso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Romulo Faso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Delmiro Bornes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Feliz Cubian in the 48th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Feliz Cubian to make the kick off. After 53 minutes, Dubardo Lombera mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fernandez FC and the Platon AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Frederico Flecha in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paquito Sotolongo saved Platon AFC from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edorta Barrillos got free with Delmiro Bornes in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edorta Barrillos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Delmiro Bornes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Fernandez FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. If Romulo Faso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st minute Feliz Cubian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delmiro Bornes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Feliz Cubian managed to get in a good position for a shot. Platon AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Feliz Cubian was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Delmiro Bornes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 84th minute, Edorta Barrillos made a precise shot to the right of Delmiro Bornes. Fernandez FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. 90 minutes in the game, Feliz Cubian fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Delmiro Bornes having to interfere. Fernandez FC's Delmiro Bornes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Fernandez FC from getting a goal against them. The Platon AFC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
