Delmiro Bornes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rocendo Mancebo's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. After 6 played minutes Yaguari got a freekick which was hit by Waldir Antolin. In the 8th minute Romulo Faso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Rosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13th minute of the match Dubardo Lombera shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jorge Rosa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Rocendo Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Delmiro Bornes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fidensio Canido in the 21st minute. 27 minutes into the match, Fernandez FC's Frederico Flecha sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jorge Rosa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 30th minute, Rocendo Mancebo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Fernandez FC's Delmiro Bornes got control of the ball when Fidensio Canido tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 35 played minutes Yaguari got a freekick which was hit by Dolfo Velasco. Delmiro Bornes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Waldir Antolin in the 39th minute of the match. After 41 played minutes, Fernandez FC's Nel Giumill shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jorge Rosa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Fernandez FC reached it. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Frederico Flecha was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute Rocendo Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delmiro Bornes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mederi Arzola during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Yaguari booed when Fernandez FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mederi Arzola didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th minute, Rocendo Mancebo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rocendo Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abilio Castilla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Frederico Flecha kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jorge Rosa. That made the score 0-1 in the 88 minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, Fernandez FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fidensio Canido came free, but Delmiro Bornes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle went the supporters of Fernandez FC were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Yaguari side.
