Berruti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Florin Regules was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zambullon AFC's goalkeeper Fagondo Lezana, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 24th minute Tximitx Arruga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hector-Luis Rioja saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hector-Luis Rioja made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ortle Forteza in the 29th minute of play. If Bikendi Cumbres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tximitx Arruga in the 38th minute of play forced Berruti's goalkeeper Hector-Luis Rioja to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Florin Regules had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bikendi Cumbres made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Zambullon AFC's zone, Florin Regules stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fagondo Lezana came out of the goal and Florin Regules tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 64th minute, Tximitx Arruga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hector-Luis Rioja was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Hector-Luis Rioja made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tximitx Arruga in the 68th minute of play. Ortle Forteza might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hector-Luis Rioja. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ortle Forteza ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 74th minute, Transito Codina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 74th minute of the match Bilbo Bustillos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fagondo Lezana skillfully saved the ball. Fagondo Lezana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bikendi Cumbres in the 76th minute of the match. If Florin Regules had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tximitx Arruga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Hector-Luis Rioja tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 82 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Ortle Forteza sped through Berruti's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Hector-Luis Rioja. Ortle Forteza kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 93 minutes, Hector-Luis Rioja successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Fagondo Lezana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bikendi Cumbres in the 96th minute of play. The Zambullon AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Zambullon AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
