Club Nacional de Football's Bartolome Irigoyen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Paradelo in the 42nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Louis Rano in the 46th minute of play forced Club Nacional de Football's goalkeeper Bartolome Irigoyen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

After having played for 51 minutes, Rutenio Calva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. In the 67th minute, Amancio Deco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Nacional de Football fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0.
