When the match had been going on for 9 minutes, GB FC's Florin Brochero got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Satordi Agustin. The long shot by Silvio Guiles in the 14th minute really tested Satordi Agustin's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After 18 played minutes, Pedernal's Calvet Gayangos shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cordairo Pierredonda came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pedernal reached it. Maureo Almaraz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In a very dangerous position, a player in GB FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 21st minute. Penalty! After a defensive mix-up in GB FC's zone, Espiridion Guio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cordairo Pierredonda came out of the goal and Espiridion Guio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 1-2 became the score in the 30th minute when Silvanito Inclan elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After having played for 35 minutes, Silvanito Inclan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pedernal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silvanito Inclan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Silvanito Inclan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cordairo Pierredonda having to interfere. Espiridion Guio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cordairo Pierredonda having to interfere. Lopes Villela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Satordi Agustin having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

GB FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Pedernal had controlled the match.
