The audience thought a goal was coming when Ferrer Cardeiro got free with Victoro Vivanco in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Toledo FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Ferrer Cardeiro 9 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. 16 minutes into the match, Toledo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ferrer Cardeiro came free, but Victoro Vivanco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ferrer Cardeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victoro Vivanco having to interfere. Toledo FC's Marciano Elejalde got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Satordi Cadimo, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 35 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Zorion Poo was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After 36 minutes, Gartxot Pascua mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Toledo FC and the Miguelete players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Toledo FC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Xeromo Palos hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marciano Elejalde in the 47th minute of play forced Miguelete's goalkeeper Zorion Poo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ferrer Cardeiro to make the kick off. The supporters of Toledo FC booed when Miguelete was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gil Teigeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Ferrer Cardeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Miguelete's supporters rose to their feet, but Ferrer Cardeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Victoro Vivanco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ferrer Cardeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Victoro Vivanco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 70 minutes, Patxi Valmayor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Miguelete's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patxi Valmayor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 71st minute, Gil Teigeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ferrer Cardeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Victoro Vivanco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Patxi Valmayor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gartxot Pascua hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patxi Valmayor in the 79th minute of play forced Toledo FC's goalkeeper Victoro Vivanco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 86 minutes into the match, Miguelete's goalkeeper Zorion Poo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Satordi Cadimo. After some careless play in the Toledo FC defense, Patxi Valmayor kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Victoro Vivanco. The Toledo FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Victoro Vivanco should have stopped the shot. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Miguelete fans cheered their team off the field, for while Toledo FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
