In the 25th minute Darien Boñar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xiao Galaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hijo de Mil's Oskarbi Pis got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Darien Boñar might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Xiao Galaz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Darien Boñar ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 31 minutes, Jayvier Laboy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mataojito's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jayvier Laboy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Jayvier Laboy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 35 minutes into the game, Mataojito's Theodore Tramontes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Xiao Galaz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 38th minute, Xinto Ocaña hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oskarbi Pis might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Teofilo Morillo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Oskarbi Pis ran back to his position shaking his head. 42 minutes into the game, Oskarbi Pis lined in a short shot 1-2 behind a frustrated Teofilo Morillo. Oskarbi Pis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Oskarbi Pis was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Hijo de Mil's Xiao Galaz got control of the ball when Jayvier Laboy tried to sneak it across the goal line. Teofilo Morillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oskarbi Pis, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Hijo de Mil's Oskarbi Pis got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 74 minutes into the game, Etxeberri Galve threw the ball into play from the sideline. Mataojito's Teofilo Morillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oskarbi Pis in the 81st minute of play. In the 83rd match minute, Hijo de Mil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ceferino Vasaburu to maneuver through the defense. 87 minutes into the match, Hijo de Mil's goal looked a bit too open when Jayvier Laboy came free, but Xiao Galaz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Mataojito's zone, Oskarbi Pis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teofilo Morillo came out of the goal and Oskarbi Pis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Teofilo Morillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oskarbi Pis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Mataojito getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Jayvier Laboy hit a great ball. When Oskarbi Pis came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Hijo de Mil fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oskarbi Pis couldn't finish the play.
