Xiao Galaz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Paquito Peñaranda showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 13 minute of play. Anton Gallarde took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Xiao Galaz. Xiao Galaz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. In the 22nd minute, Ceferino Vasaburu made a precise shot to the right of Demesio Mobellan. Estudiantes de La Plata's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. If Ceferino Vasaburu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 34 played minutes Estudiantes de La Plata got a freekick which was hit by Haritzeder Montes. Demesio Mobellan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ceferino Vasaburu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oskarbi Pis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Demesio Mobellan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Estudiantes de La Plata's Demesio Mobellan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ceferino Vasaburu in the 44th minute of play. Demesio Mobellan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ceferino Vasaburu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ceferino Vasaburu to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Hijo de Mil were awarded a corner. Lino Cea went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Estudiantes de La Plata's goalie and right to Bartoleme Carbonell. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Estudiantes de La Plata's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Hijo de Mil's Oskarbi Pis slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Demesio Mobellan. That made the score 3-2 after 56 minutes of play. In the 67th match minute, Estudiantes de La Plata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquim Negroni to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paquito Peñaranda in the 69th minute of play forced Hijo de Mil's goalkeeper Xiao Galaz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th minute, Oskarbi Pis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Xiao Galaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paquito Peñaranda in the 81st minute of play. Ceferino Vasaburu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 83rdth minute, Demesio Mobellan skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Oskarbi Pis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Demesio Mobellan having to interfere. If Ceferino Vasaburu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ceferino Vasaburu got free with Demesio Mobellan in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ceferino Vasaburu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Hijo de Mil getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Oskarbi Pis hit a great ball. Bastiaro Guevara took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 95th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Xiao Galaz. Hijo de Mil's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Hijo de Mil's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Estudiantes de La Plata had won, even though Hijo de Mil had held more of the ball.
