Spectators: 7351 (Terracing: 5514, Seating: 1690, VIP seats: 147) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Vasco Garcidueñas started the match with the kick off. Aitor Avellano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xuan Mancebo in the 6th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Araujo's zone, Vasco Garcidueñas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaizka Breijoo came out of the goal and Vasco Garcidueñas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Xuan Mancebo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 22nd minute, Xuan Mancebo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aitor Avellano was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If Xuan Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guter Calva in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aitor Avellano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Egun Casal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aitor Avellano was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. In the 43rd minute, Tximitx Mascareñas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aitor Avellano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guter Calva, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Guter Calva to strike the kick off in the second half. If Tximitx Mascareñas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Araujo's Gaizka Breijoo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vasco Garcidueñas in the 57th minute of play. Guter Calva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Aitor Avellano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64th match minute, Araujo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matia Bernal to maneuver through the defense. If Tximitx Mascareñas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aitor Avellano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Xuan Mancebo in the 73rd minute. Gaizka Breijoo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tximitx Mascareñas's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Aitor Avellano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guter Calva in the 84th minute of play. In the 85th match minute, CALAMAR GIGANTE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zeruko Puentes to maneuver through the defense. When Xuan Mancebo came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Araujo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xuan Mancebo couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guter Calva in the 88th minute of play forced CALAMAR GIGANTE's goalkeeper Aitor Avellano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guter Calva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aitor Avellano having to interfere. Xuan Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Aitor Avellano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
