Damian Arostegui received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Higinio Leis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Durazno FC's Higinio Leis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anaya Capistrano in the 8th minute of play. Anaya Capistrano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 12th minute, Damian Arostegui fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 12th minute, one of Durazno FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Durazno FC. In the 13th minute, the referee gave Canelones FC a penalty. Eder Sena looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Higinio Leis. Anaya Capistrano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Durazno FC's Higinio Leis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Durazno FC from getting a goal against them. After 23 played minutes Canelones FC got a freekick which was hit by Raebert Golpe. Piearres Osuna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Durazno FC's Higinio Leis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Durazno FC from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Porfiro Sevilla in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Isauro Bermejo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Canelones FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Bidari Rosello hit a great ball. 35 minutes into the match, Durazno FC's goalkeeper Higinio Leis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Damian Arostegui. Anaya Capistrano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Higinio Leis having to interfere. Damian Arostegui sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 42 played minutes Durazno FC got a freekick which was hit by Mantzio Favalis. Anaya Capistrano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Higinio Leis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anaya Capistrano was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute of the match, Porfiro Sevilla tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Isauro Bermejo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anaya Capistrano in the 58th minute of play forced Durazno FC's goalkeeper Higinio Leis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Isauro Bermejo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Porfiro Sevilla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 68thth minute of the game Anaya Capistrano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Durazno FC's Higinio Leis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 69 minutes into the match, Durazno FC's goal looked a bit too open when Anaya Capistrano came free, but Higinio Leis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Isauro Bermejo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Porfiro Sevilla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 78th minute, Bidari Rosello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 79 minutes, Piearres Osuna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Durazno FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Piearres Osuna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Porfiro Sevilla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isauro Bermejo having to interfere. Isauro Bermejo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Porfiro Sevilla in the 90th minute of play. If Anaya Capistrano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Durazno FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Canelones FC.
