In the 13th minute, Ermegildo Curiel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Ceibal AFC's Pabla Reinoso got control of the ball when Roger Flores tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Ceibal AFC fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when Ceibal AFC's Ermegildo Curiel looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Tristan Pis's late challenge caught a Ceibal AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tristan Pis helped the player get up and apologised. Tristan Pis kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Zilar Varas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ermegildo Curiel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paul Gorbin to make the kick off. Ermegildo Curiel in the 53rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Zilar Varas, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Zilar Varas was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ermegildo Curiel showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 56 minute of play. If Ermegildo Curiel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ermegildo Curiel in the 97th minute of play forced Aguirre AFC's goalkeeper Zilar Varas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Ceibal AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ceibal AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
