Mariano Pellin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Niubels's Uriel Cubero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oriol Gigante in the 14th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ourente Peñuelas in the 15th minute of play forced Niubels's goalkeeper Uriel Cubero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With 20 minutes on the clock, Bibiano Sobrevilla commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 19 minutes into the game, one of Niubels:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Licerio Massey recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Bruno Regueiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcos Sabuco made in the 35th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Vinicio Rozas. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ourente Peñuelas in the 36th minute of play forced Niubels's goalkeeper Uriel Cubero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpected shot in the 39th minute by Licerio Massey got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Donato Saiz in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mariano Pellin saved Dragons from getting behind. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Thomas Aguilar made a kick off. Uriel Cubero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomas Aguilar in the 59th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute of the match, Ourente Peñuelas tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Uriel Cubero saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a rather tough play, Dragons's Vinicio Rozas got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Gaufred Rieta might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mariano Pellin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gaufred Rieta ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Niubels's Gaufred Rieta got a free kick in the 71st minute. A collision led to Niubels getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Gaufred Rieta hit a great ball. Uriel Cubero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomas Aguilar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Niubels's Uriel Cubero got control of the ball when Vinicio Rozas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vinicio Rozas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Uriel Cubero made a huge save. If Ourente Peñuelas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 80 minutes into the game, Bruno Regueiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Niubels's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dragons the free kick. In the 80th match minute, Niubels was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Regueiro to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 81 minutes, Oriol Gigante managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dragons's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oriol Gigante was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vinicio Rozas's late challenge caught a Niubels's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mariano Pellin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Niubels.
