Manuel Archimbaud's late challenge caught a Mendoza's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Manuel Archimbaud helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Nacional's Manuel Archimbaud got a free kick in the 29th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Leoiar Roda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mendoza's supporters rose to their feet, but Leoiar Roda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Odilon Pubill breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 34th play minute Oliveiro Sominaya came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ariel Mathey. 1-3. A collision led to Nacional getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Ricardo Lezama hit a great ball. 45 minutes into the match, Nacional's Oliveiro Sominaya sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ariel Mathey narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ariel Mathey made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Oliveiro Sominaya sent off a good shot on target. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oliveiro Sominaya in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ariel Mathey saved Mendoza from getting behind. Odilon Pubill was out of position in the 57 minute of play, and Leoiar Roda capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Leoiar Roda really showed his touch with that goal: 1-5. Odilon Pubill made an important save on a dangerous shot by Basajaun Urrea in the 65th minute. Marques Villaboa charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marques Villaboa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Mendoza booed when Nacional was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marques Villaboa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Basajaun Urrea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Oliveiro Sominaya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leoiar Roda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Odilon Pubill took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leoiar Roda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mendoza's Ariel Mathey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oliveiro Sominaya in the 82nd minute of play. In the 88th match minute, Nacional was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teofilo Laspron to maneuver through the defense. Odilon Pubill took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leoiar Roda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
