Elmo Nø showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lapurdi Cerdeño in the 5th minute of the match. 6 minutes into the match, Otoniel Rafecas notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of CERRO LARGO F.C.'s Elmo Nø. Elmo Nø was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Bertran Garate fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CERRO LARGO F.C.'s protests and gave Bertran Garate a yellow card for diving instead. Bertran Garate hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 9th minute of the game. One of CERRO LARGO F.C.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Paysandú FCU:s goal. Gombal Cañal shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Elmo Nø made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lapurdi Cerdeño in the 14th minute of play. After 16 minutes, Muc Amandi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Paysandú FCU and the CERRO LARGO F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 16th match minute, Paysandú FCU was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Muc Amandi to maneuver through the defense. Mantzio Baragaño hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. After having played for 18 minutes, Zabal Rocafort managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CERRO LARGO F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Zabal Rocafort was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 20th minute, Otoniel Rafecas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 24 minutes into the match, CERRO LARGO F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Otoniel Rafecas came free, but Elmo Nø reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elmo Nø came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Paysandú FCU's Gombal Cañal. But to his dismay, Gombal Cañal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Angel Adrales kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 38th minute by Inguma Orbañanos got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Angel Adrales charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Angel Adrales the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 41 minutes into the match, CERRO LARGO F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Otoniel Rafecas came free, but Elmo Nø reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Muc Amandi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute, Gombal Cañal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Elmo Nø was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. After the first half Paysandú FCU were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Inguma Orbañanos made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, CERRO LARGO F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Gombal Cañal came free, but Elmo Nø reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 56th minute Otoniel Rafecas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elmo Nø saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Xaven Bullido during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 58th match minute, CERRO LARGO F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xaven Bullido to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Paysandú FCU's Gombal Cañal tried to score from far away in the 59th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Elmo Nø came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Paysandú FCU's Mantzio Baragaño. But to his dismay, Mantzio Baragaño quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. After a rather tough play, Paysandú FCU's Saturnino Velasquez got a free kick in the 66th minute. Paysandú FCU's Inaki Arechavala was substituted for Lapurdi Cerdeño. Saturnino Velasquez kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, CERRO LARGO F.C.'s Angel Adrales got a free kick in the 70th minute. Elmo Nø showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mantzio Baragaño in the 75th minute of the match. If Muc Amandi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 86 minutes, Napier Puget mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Paysandú FCU and the CERRO LARGO F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Paysandú FCU getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Napier Puget hit a great ball. After 93 played minutes Paysandú FCU got a freekick which was hit by Saturnino Velasquez. When the final whistle sounded Paysandú FCU left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than CERRO LARGO F.C..
