In the 11th minute Basajaun Urrea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zumar Palma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alberto Pardelas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ariel Mathey having to interfere. After having played for 14 minutes, Lop Abar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nacional's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lop Abar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Lop Abar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 18thth minute of the game Alberto Pardelas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mendoza's Ariel Mathey was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 20th minute Alberto Pardelas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ariel Mathey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Pardelas in the 21st minute of play forced Mendoza's goalkeeper Ariel Mathey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Lop Abar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ariel Mathey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Pardelas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lop Abar who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 31stth minute tested the skills of Ariel Mathey when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Alberto Pardelas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zuri Heras kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. 38 minutes into the match, Nacional's Froylan Pozos broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 40 minutes into the match, Alberto Pardelas notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Mendoza's Ariel Mathey. The goalkeeper, Ariel Mathey, was totally fooled by Nacional's Froylan Pozos, who 46 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leoiar Roda to make the kick off. Leoiar Roda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Basajaun Urrea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Zumar Palma made a huge save. In the 58th minute, Lop Abar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 59th match minute, Mendoza was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jatsu Alire to maneuver through the defense. Basajaun Urrea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Zumar Palma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lop Abar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nacional's Zumar Palma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leoiar Roda in the 76th minute of play. Ariel Mathey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Pardelas in the 84th minute of the match. Josu Theas hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Lop Abar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ariel Mathey having to interfere.
