The Ideal de Montevideo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hustaz Perma should have stopped the shot. Hustaz Perma showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angel Adrales in the 28th minute of the match. A collision led to Ideal de Montevideo getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Lopes Arzalaga hit a great ball. Cordaro Herriaga kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, CERRO LARGO F.C.'s Zabal Rocafort tried to score from far away in the 33rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Angel Adrales fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hustaz Perma having to interfere. Elmo Nø made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Llorenc Tobar in the 37th minute of play. Cordaro Herriaga was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 40 minutes into the match. In the 41st match minute, Ideal de Montevideo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cordaro Herriaga to maneuver through the defense. After 42 played minutes Zabal Rocafort shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Ideal de Montevideo's Hustaz Perma to catch but Zabal Rocafort was lucky. It became 0-2 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. After 45 played minutes Ideal de Montevideo got a freekick which was hit by Paz Saboya. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Llorenc Tobar to make the kick off. Paz Saboya charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
