The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Angel Adrales received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Mane Taboada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 5 minutes into the match, Fenerbache F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Angel Adrales came free, but Mane Taboada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Fenerbache F.C's zone, Angel Adrales stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mane Taboada came out of the goal and Angel Adrales tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Angel Adrales was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 12th minute. CERRO LARGO F.C.'s manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Inguma Orbañanos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mane Taboada made an important save on a dangerous shot by Inguma Orbañanos in the 17th minute. Inguma Orbañanos scored 2-0 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mane Taboada, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 22 minutes, Angel Adrales managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CERRO LARGO F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Angel Adrales was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Urbes Pedros during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of CERRO LARGO F.C. booed when Fenerbache F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Urbes Pedros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Inguma Orbañanos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. CERRO LARGO F.C.'s Frichoso Palencia got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 34th match minute, CERRO LARGO F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frichoso Palencia to maneuver through the defense. Angel Adrales blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mane Taboada having to make a save. 43 minutes into the game, Gumaro Uribe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fenerbache F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CERRO LARGO F.C. the free kick. In the 44th minute, Gumaro Uribe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Inguma Orbañanos made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Lugo Contreras got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 53rd minute Angel Adrales shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mane Taboada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Angel Adrales took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mane Taboada. Mane Taboada dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. A collision led to Fenerbache F.C getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Gumaro Uribe hit a great ball. If Angel Adrales had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Fenerbache F.C's zone, Angel Adrales stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mane Taboada came out of the goal and Angel Adrales tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Angel Adrales charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Angel Adrales the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Angel Adrales kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Canor Portela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Angel Adrales had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elmo Nø made an important save on a dangerous shot by Canor Portela in the 82nd minute. When Frichoso Palencia fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CERRO LARGO F.C.'s protests and gave Frichoso Palencia a yellow card for diving instead. Valiente Azaceta hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match.
