In the 69th minute, Nacional's Ricardo Lezama seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ricardo Lezama the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Nacional protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ricardo Lezama had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tohias Robira couldn't finish the play. Nacional's Odilon Pubill proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Nacional from getting a goal against them. Zumar Palma took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oliveiro Sominaya, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Nacional had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
