Pascoal Seral didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Paysandú FCU's Otoniel Rafecas shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 9th match minute, Rocha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Feo Cue to maneuver through the defense. Rocha's Pascoal Seral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Otoniel Rafecas in the 12th minute of play. Isaac Affonso took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 13th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Pascoal Seral. Rocha's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Paysandú FCU's Otoniel Rafecas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pascoal Seral narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Otoniel Rafecas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pascoal Seral was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. In the 19thth minute of the game Otoniel Rafecas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rocha's Pascoal Seral was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Rocha getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Perez Pantigoso hit a great ball. In the game's 21st minute Paysandú FCU's Gombal Cañal took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Pascoal Seral and thus the score was 0-2. 26 minutes into the match, Leoiar Balines had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eneko Edeon. Paysandú FCU's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leoiar Balines was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Lapurdi Cerdeño's late challenge caught a Rocha's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lapurdi Cerdeño helped the player get up and apologised. In the 40th minute, Lapurdi Cerdeño hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Otoniel Rafecas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pascoal Seral having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Otoniel Rafecas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Paysandú FCU was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saturnino Velasquez to maneuver through the defense. Muc Amandi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rocha's Pascoal Seral proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Rocha from getting a goal against them. 65 minutes into the match, Otoniel Rafecas dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Pascoal Seral, 1-3. In the 71st minute, Rioja Giner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Otoniel Rafecas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paysandú FCU's supporters rose to their feet, but Otoniel Rafecas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pascoal Seral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pascoal Seral stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Otoniel Rafecas's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. Mantzio Baragaño charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mantzio Baragaño the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 89th minute, Mantzio Baragaño hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Feo Cue sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Paysandú FCU supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Paysandú FCU would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
